             A medical scribe is a specialist who collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers to enter patient data into electronic medical records. Medical scribes are in charge of efficiently and precisely entering patient encounters into the electronic health record (EHR). Additionally, they support the effective delivery of patient care, give healthcare personnel real-time access to patient data, and free up time so that they may spend more time with patients.

Only a few firms in India are currently engaged in this. Due to the nature of the services and exposure to a clinic environment, many compliances are necessary, most notably HIPAA. A doctor's helper in a sense, Scribe works online for the doctor while linked via webcam. Typically, the labour would take place at night, which is equivalent to US business hours (assuming the work is carried out from India).
